* University of Redlands established 1907 * Private University * Redlands, California, United States * Website: (University of Redlands School of Education ) The (University of Redland’s School of Education ) is the oldest graduate division within the university, which has been ranked one of the Best Colleges in the West by (US News & World Report ). The school currently offers courses enabling students to obtain their Preliminary Teaching Credential (Multiple Subject or Single Subject), as well as Administrative and Pupil Personnel Services Credentials. Beginning in the 2011-2012 academic year the School of Education will offer a Special Education Credential. It also offers four Masters of Arts Degrees in School Counseling, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Administration and Higher Education. The (Doctorate in Leadership for Educational Justice ) (Ed.D.) is the University’s only doctoral program. The program prepares educational leaders who are grounded in theories of social justice and a commitment to ensuring equity for students from all backgrounds with respect to access, quality of instruction and resources, and outcomes. ==History== The School of Education was founded in 1924. As of 2009 it serves 576 students in graduate coursework, with a full-time faculty of 16. In 2001 the School of Education partnered with the Lewis Center for Educational Research in Apple Valley. They offer Preliminary Teaching Credentials and Master of Arts in Education programs onsite and serve Apple Valley and the surrounding high desert communities.
